Post-retirement planning should not be a do-it-yourself project! I will counsel and guide you through the process of transferring your assets to the next generation. With a successful estate plan in place you can avoid probate, save taxes, and minimize legal expenses. Together, we will establish your goals, put them in writing, and protect your loved ones through a lasting legacy.

Have you been putting off your legacy planning for far too long? My practice is where the estate planning rubber meets the road. Goals are one thing but legally binding wishes are another thing entirely. I will help you navigate the emotionally-charged dynamics of not only preparing for your afterlife but also protecting yourself during times of disability. There are no one-sized fits all approaches to estate planning; every family is unique. As a professional trustee, private fiduciary, and Chartered Trust and Estate Planner, I help families connect the dots and sleep peacefully.

who is tracy

I got my start in estate planning at the age of 21. I was immediately drawn to the idea of effectively transferring assets from one generation to the next and it has shaped my career ever since. I moved into personal financial planning and soon realized there was a hole in the market that needed to be filled – private fiduciary services. There was no shortage of big banks that would handle money for huge fees, but not all families fit into that model. In 2013 I launched my own estate planning practice serving that niche and haven’t looked back since!

Over the years I have played many fiduciary roles including, but not limited to:

  • Executor
  • Trustee
  • Social Security Payee
  • Custodian
  • Power of Attorney

My mission is to do what is in the best interest of each beneficiary with a focus on the future as well as the present. My practice is based in downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa. My husband and I have three kiddos and love to travel in our spare time.

Open Communication

From private foundations and special needs trusts to couples entering retirement, each financial situation is different. I subscribe to a multi-disciplinary approach to estate planning that coordinates solutions between attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors. This approach results in lower taxes, fewer court fees, and improved family communication. The benefits of implementing a third-party fiduciary are wide-ranging, but don’t just take my word for it – hear it firsthand from some of my clients:

  • “After my divorce I knew I had to protect my assets with smart financial planning, but I didn’t know where to begin. Tracy took into account my newly single life and helped me grow my nest egg rapidly over five years. I know I can always turn to her for any questions or concerns – she’s truly my trusted advisor!”

  • “As a newly retired couple, we were totally caught off-guard when our daughter was diagnosed with cancer. It made us totally rethink our estate planning. We had met Tracy several times at a yearly financial conference and thought her services would help us plan for the future. We are so glad to have a second opinion during the estate planning process. Being able to get a second opinion before making decisions is priceless. We consider Tracy to be another member of our family.“
